In 1960, Jim and Tom Thomas joined their
father in the family business. Wanting to expand the
company's horizons, George, Jim, and Tom got involved
in the manual door and automated entrance industries.
Thomas Door Controls was incorporated
in 1966 and in 1971, their logo, the circle "T" was
registered with the State of Ohio. The Circle "T" logo
was firmly attached to the corporation and is recognized
throughout Central Ohio as part of the Thomas Door tradition.
In 1995, Scott Thomas joined his father, Jim, in the daily operations of the business. In 2005, Jim retired and Scott became the 4th President of Thomas Door.
With over 50 years of experience,
Thomas Door Controls remains a competitive player in
the door and hardware industry. In it's third generation,
the Thomas family is positioned for continued growth
and stability. Thomas Door Controls takes pride in the
fact that a majority of their employees have been with
the company for many years and have played a vital role
in their success.
